Director of IISER, being the principal academic as well as administrative head, is expected to have proven administrative, teaching and research background, Including significant experience in research guidance at the Ph.D. Level with leadership qualities. The Director shall have a contractual tenure of appointment for five years or until attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
